Winter Family Fun Day During the Superbowl

Although we watched the Superbowl game, we are not  the type of family who goes all the way and  have party for it.  We went out that day and  had so much fun  sled riding.  We had to do it  since we have been trapped inside the house  for so many days.

Our children, does not mind the cold at all.  I guess when you have  the  energy they have as kids, you won't feel the cold either.

It was a perfect day for sled riding.   The snow was thick and you would slide so fast especially when you get some push  like Daddy did to  EJ.

Hubby and I enjoyed sled riding as well.  I normally don;'t do it but I saw them having so much fun so I did it and  the walking  up the steep hill was a great exercise.

Even our neighbor Don, joined the fun!  Thanks Don for taking our family photos!

Glad that even though we stayed out  for a long time, the kids did not get sick.

  4. For some strange reason kids do not get sick from staying outside and having fun in the snow! There is nothing quite like the joy of sliding down those hills--of course walking back up to do it all again----

  5. That is fun! We don't go all the way and party when it comes to the Superbowl too. We did watch and had fun.

  6. How fun! It's been so very cold here we haven't been able to get out and enjoy much of winter. We don't do Superbowl, so we watched movies that day instead. I bet outside play, snowmen and inside for warm cocoa would have been much more fun! Looks like you guys had a blast!

  7. I have to admit I'd love your superbowl day VS watching it lol. Everyone in the family goes all out with parties and such and I go along with it, but I don't really care who wins. I know that would be shocking to all of the die hard superbowl fans lol. That snow is beautiful as is your family.

  8. It looks like you all had a fun time. We are expecting more snow today and I am not excited. The last time the boys wanted to go out in it, but after five minutes the two youngest were ready to come back in because their hands were cold and the oldest wanted to stay out.

  9. Looks like you had a fun pre-Superbowl party! It's perfectly fine not to have your typical Superbowl party-- heck, we didn't even watch the Superbowl at our house, let alone have people over for it. ;)

  10. It looks like you had a blast. I know that many are so sick of this Winter, but I'm really enjoying it here in PA. It's snowing as I type this. Sledding is fun. You got some great pictures to remember this day!

  11. We definitely had a different type of day for our (first American) super bowl experience. We did not watch the game at all, and went sailing on San Francisco Bay on a really fun yacht.

  12. It's so fun playing with snow outside. I guess your children has high adrenaline and the vibrant energy to stand the cold. I haven't tried sled riding before and I get scared of the idea of getting injured. It's great that your kids did not get sick. Wow, strong immune system. :)

  13. We have not had snow in years here in Washington! This looks like a great snow day even if it was Super Bowl Sunday! We are total football fans so we were watching the whole game and had people over.

  14. It is great when the weather and snow are perfect to actually go outside to build a snowman. Looks like you guys had a really good time. We have a snowman in our front yard right now named Olaf:)

  15. This looks like so much more fun than sitting in the house watching the super bowl. My kids love the snow as well, they actually cry when it's time to come back inside. During the summer, my daughter is excited for the seasons to change so she can have snow again.
