Summer holidays aren’t all about the kids, you know! It’s a great time for the grown-ups to have some fun as well. Perhaps there are some new toys you’ve been dying to try out? If so, take advantage of the great weather and treat yourself to a turn. Here are five enjoyable toys for grown-ups you might like to try out this summer.
1. Jet Skis
These fun water vehicles come in a wide range of styles and types. You can get jet skis for one rider, two or more, and there are models designed for recreational cruising as well as sportier ones that are better for racing through the water. Whatever you’re interested in, getting a little speed and power out on the water can be a great way to get your heart racing. To check out the different kinds of jet skis that are available, check out the websites of water sports specialists, such as JSW Powersports.
2. Off-Road Bikes
Whether it’s a trike, bike or quad bike, off-road driving can be a fun way to tear up a little dirt and de-stress. All-terrain vehicles for this type of activity come in a range of shapes and sizes, and you can head off road into the mud on your own or with a group. Some vehicles are built for one or two passengers only, while others are family-sized and can accommodate four or six.
3. Boats
Nothing says summer like getting out on the water. Whether it’s fishing off the side of your boat or cruising the inlets and bays of your local estuary, boats are one of the most enjoyable toys with which a grown-up can play. With a few lessons, you could soon be out on the water in either a sailboat or a cabin cruiser, enjoying the combination of wind and water, and putting a calm distance between yourself and the cares and stresses of everyday life.
4. Hot Laps
A true toy for grown-ups, racing round a racetrack at top speed is undoubtedly an enjoyable experience for those who have always wanted to drive as fast as they can without limits and all the usual rules in the way. Most people have fantasized about becoming a racing car driver at some point in their lives, so what are you waiting for? Give this a go and cross one more thing off that bucket list.
5. Toy Plane or Helicopter
If you like a little speed and action with your toys without putting yourself in any actual danger, motorized toy planes and helicopters could provide you with countless hours of enjoyment, particularly with some of the sophisticated and advanced models that are now available. Fun for all ages, this is the toy that kids play with at Christmas while the grown-up men watch on enviously, happily stepping in to “show them how it’s done” when necessary.
Taking some time to do something that makes you smile is important. What’s your favorite ‘grown-up’ toy? Have you passed down a toy to your kids that you secretly still love to play with? Comment below.

I do not have a driver's license, so I can't participate – but it looks like a lot of fun nonetheless. Flying helicopters is fun - I've played with my nephew's before.
